FULL-TIME HANDY MAN
Role will work with 2 different ownership groups in a small team environment to lead and/or support the following:
(1) Repairs and renovations associated with apartment turnover
(2) Responding to emergency maintenance
(3) Review of work and contracts from other 3rd party vendors,
(4) Occasional interaction with tenants. Role will report to a Field Operations manager.
Role may occasionally support and/or lead special projects such as physical inspection of other residential properties for possible acquisition. Currently, both portfolios combined equate to 76 units.
Preferred background in carpentry. Minimum of 3 years in residential construction. Current or past designation of a registered Home Improvement Contractor (HIC) and/or Construction Supervisor License (CSL) both a plus.
Ability to perform basic to moderately complex renovations such as installation and repair of: cabinets, counter tops, flooring, painting, windows, trim, doors, railing, etc.
Other backgrounds such as electrical, hvac or plumbing will be considered if the necessary carpentry skills are present
Strong attention to detail, good work ethic and ability to multitask.
Must have reliable and consistent use of a vehicle
Must be able to pass a CORI background check
Must be able to transport building materials to and from job sites and be able to consistently lift a minimum of 100 lbs.
Ability to converse effectively and frequently in English both verbally as well as through email and/or other similar technology platforms with other team members.
Willing to carry or be able to pick up (upon hire) General Liability insurance coverage of at least $1MM.
Availability during the week for a minimum of 4 days. Approximately 35-40 hours per week with the possibility of increased hours as needed including overtime.
Hourly pay is negotiable depending upon experience.
Must either live in one of the following cities or be able to relocate within 30 days of hire: Chelsea, Everett, Lynn, Malden, Medford, Revere, Saugus or Winthrop
